Home Painting Lead Generation Case Study: From Daily Ad Rejections to ₹20.66 Lakhs Sales

How we built and optimised a lead-generation system for a home painting brand across Delhi NCR.
Client: NextServ
Industry: Home Painting & Renovation
Campaign Duration: May–June
Primary Objective: Lead Generation & Sales
Market: Delhi NCR
The Story
When we started working with Nextserv, the objective was straightforward:
Generate genuine enquiries from homeowners looking for painting and renovation services — and turn those enquiries into actual business.
But the campaign didn't exactly start smoothly.
During the initial phase, we faced repeated Meta ad rejections, sometimes almost every day. At the same time, generating leads was only one part of the challenge. We needed to understand which prospects were actually valuable for a business like Nextserv.
So instead of treating the campaign as a simple “launch ads → get leads” exercise, we approached it as an ongoing optimisation process.
We experimented with:
Static creatives → AI-generated video ads → different messaging → lead-generation campaigns → landing pages → location-based targeting → lead-quality optimisation.
Over approximately two months, the campaign eventually generated:
127 Leads
₹20,66,399 in Gross Sales
with approximately ₹25K–₹30K spent on advertising.
But the numbers aren't the most interesting part.
The interesting part is what happened between launching the first campaign and reaching those numbers.
There were rejected ads.
There were leads that didn't convert.
There were creatives that needed to be replaced.
There were audiences that needed refinement.
And there was a point where we realised:
Generating more leads wasn't necessarily the answer. We needed to generate better leads.
That became the turning point of the campaign.
The Challenge: When the Creative Couldn’t Go Live

The early campaign challenge was not demand—it was delivery.
Our AI-generated video ad was repeatedly rejected in Meta Ads Manager, preventing the campaign from running consistently. The review feedback pointed to lead-ad policy concerns, and multiple ad variations showed the same rejected status.
This created a practical performance problem: without stable delivery, we could not reliably test the creative, learn from audience response, or build a predictable lead flow.
The turning point
Rather than abandoning the AI-video concept, we worked through the rejection feedback, corrected the ad setup and resubmitted it for approval.
Once the corrected version was approved, the same core video concept could finally enter the market. It went on to generate multiple leads—turning a blocked creative into one of the campaign’s strongest assets.
The lesson was simple: a good creative is only valuable when it is compliant enough to deliver consistently.
What this changed
The experience shifted the campaign from reactive troubleshooting to a more disciplined creative process:
Review feedback became part of the creative workflow.
Ad copy, lead-generation setup and creative presentation were treated as one system.
Winning ideas were refined for both performance and approval—not just visual impact.
"Evidence shown above is from Meta Ads Manager. Lead generation after approval is based on campaign results provided by Nextserv/TrustInNim; no additional ad-level metrics are claimed here."
BUILDING THE CREATIVE ENGINE
We Didn't Just Run Ads. We Built a Creative System.
Once we had worked through the initial ad-rejection challenges, the next question was simple:
What kind of creative would actually make homeowners stop scrolling and enquire?
For a service like home painting, simply telling people “We provide professional painting services” isn't enough.
People want to see the transformation. They want to understand the quality and most importantly, they need a reason to take action now.
So instead of depending on a single advertisement, we built a creative system around continuous testing and iteration.
Two Creative Directions. One Goal.
Our campaign used two primary creative formats:
🎨 Static Ad Creatives
Static ads allowed us to communicate the core proposition quickly and clearly.
We experimented with different creative angles around:
Home transformation
Professional painting services
Interior & exterior painting
Wall finishes
Quality and workmanship
Free site inspection
Seasonal and festive painting requirements
Trust and professionalism
The idea was to make every creative answer one question:
“Why should a homeowner enquire with Nextserv?”
🎬 AI-Generated Video Ads
We also experimented with AI-generated video advertising to bring a different dimension to the campaign.
Rather than relying only on traditional promotional graphics, we used AI video concepts to explore more engaging ways of presenting a painting service.
These videos allowed us to experiment with:
Storytelling — presenting relatable homeowner situations.
Visual transformation — showing how a space can change with the right painting solution.
Attention hooks — using movement and visual storytelling to stand out in the social feed.
Different narratives — testing multiple ways of communicating the same service.
And importantly, one of these AI-generated videos became particularly significant to the campaign after we successfully resolved its initial ad-rejection issues.
Every Creative Had a Purpose
We didn't create creatives simply to keep the campaign visually fresh.
Each one was built around a specific objective.
Attention
Would the visual make someone stop scrolling?
Relevance
Would a homeowner immediately understand that this service was meant for them?
Value
Was there a clear reason to consider Nextserv?
Action
Was the next step obvious?
This gave us a simple creative framework:
HOOK → VALUE → TRUST → ACTION
The Creative Testing Loop
Rather than assuming we knew which advertisement would perform best, we allowed the campaign data to guide us.

↓
ITERATE
The process was continuous.
A creative that performed well gave us a direction to explore further. A creative that didn't perform as expected gave us information about what needed to change.
This approach helped us move away from “What ad should we make?” to a much better question:
“What can the performance data teach us about the customer?”
From Creative Experimentation to Performance
The most valuable outcome wasn't simply having a collection of attractive advertisements.
It was discovering which messages and creative approaches could translate attention into actual enquiries.
The campaign eventually generated 127 leads over approximately two months, with reported gross sales of ₹20.66 lakh.
And the creative strategy played an important role in getting there.
The Creative Showcase
Static Ads
Selected creatives developed and tested during the campaign.
AI-Generated Video Ads
Selected AI-generated video advertisements created for the Nextserv campaign.
The takeaway
Good performance doesn't begin with a winning ad. It begins with a willingness to test, learn and create again.
For Nextserv, creative became more than a design exercise.
It became a performance tool.
WHAT WE TESTED & WHAT WE LEARNED

We Let the Data Decide What Deserved More Attention.
Creating multiple creatives gave us options. But creative volume alone doesn't create results.
The next step was to understand which combinations of creative, messaging, offer and targeting were actually bringing people into the funnel.
For Nextserv, we continuously looked at the campaign from one perspective:
Are we attracting people who genuinely have a painting requirement?
1. We Tested Different Creative Angles
A home painting customer can be motivated by very different things.
Someone may be thinking about renovating their home.
Someone may be preparing for a festival or occasion.
Someone may simply be tired of looking at faded walls.
And another customer may be looking for a reliable professional after having a poor experience with local painters.
So instead of communicating only:
“We provide painting services.”
we explored different psychological triggers:
Transformation
Show the difference a fresh, professionally painted space can make.
Trust
Highlight professional painters, quality finishes and organised service.
Convenience
Make the process of getting a painting project started feel simple.
Offer
Give homeowners a clear reason to enquire — such as a free site inspection.
Urgency
Connect painting requirements with upcoming occasions, seasonal demand and the desire to refresh the home.
2. We Tested Different Formats
We didn't assume that one format would work for every audience.
We experimented with:
Static creatives→ Quick communication and strong visual messaging.
AI-generated videos→ Storytelling, movement and stronger attention hooks.
Lead-generation campaigns→ Reduce friction between interest and enquiry.
The objective wasn't to decide whether static or video is better.
It was to understand:
Which creative format works best for which message?
3. We Learned That Lead Volume Isn't the Same as Lead Quality
This became particularly important as the campaign progressed.
Getting a large number of leads can look impressive inside Ads Manager.
But for a home painting business, a lead only becomes valuable when there is a genuine requirement behind it.
A customer who is ready to paint a 3BHK home is fundamentally different from someone who simply submitted a form out of curiosity.
So our focus gradually shifted from:
“How many leads can we generate?”
to:
“How many relevant opportunities can we create?”
That shift eventually influenced the next major decision in the campaign.
4. We Changed the Funnel
During the second month, we introduced a dedicated landing page.
The objective was simple:
Filter and educate before the enquiry.
Instead of sending every potential customer directly into a basic lead form, the landing page gave us an opportunity to communicate:
What Nextserv offers
The services available
Why customers should consider the brand
What the process looks like
The value of booking a site inspection
This added another layer between the advertisement and the lead.

Sales Follow-up
The thinking was straightforward:
Better-informed prospects have a greater chance of becoming meaningful sales conversations.
5. We Started Thinking Geographically
Another important learning was that Delhi NCR shouldn't necessarily be treated as one single audience.
Nextserv's service area included:
Delhi | Gurugram | Noida | Faridabad
So in the second phase, we moved towards more focused geographical targeting.
This allowed us to think about the campaign not simply as:
“Run painting ads in Delhi NCR.”
but rather:
“Find homeowners with painting requirements within the areas Nextserv can efficiently serve.”
That distinction matters when you're advertising a location-dependent service.
6. We Treated Every Result as Feedback
Not every lead converted.
Not every creative performed.
Not every audience behaved the same way.
And that was okay.
The purpose of the campaign wasn't to find a magical combination on day one.
It was to create a feedback loop:
Creative → Lead → Sales Feedback → Learning → Optimisation → New Creative
This meant that the advertising strategy and the actual business outcomes could inform each other.
The Bigger Learning
The biggest lesson from the first two months wasn't that one particular ad “worked.”
It was that performance marketing is an iterative process.
The campaign evolved from:
Ad testing
→ Creative learning
→ Lead generation
→ Lead-quality analysis
→ Landing-page development
→ Hyperlocal targeting
→ Sales optimisation
And that evolution set up the next stage of the campaign.
The Turning Point
Once we had enough learnings from the initial phase, we could make a much more informed decision about how to structure the next phase of acquisition.
We weren't starting from scratch anymore.
We knew what we were testing. We knew what problems we were solving and we had a clearer idea of who we wanted to reach.
THE TURNING POINT

From More Leads to Better-Qualified Leads
The first phase of the campaign gave us something more valuable than just lead volume:
Data.
We had started understanding the audience, the creative patterns, the locations and — most importantly — the difference between simply generating enquiries and generating opportunities that could realistically become customers.
That led us to rethink the funnel.
The question changed.
Instead of asking:
“How can we generate more leads?”
we started asking:
“How can we make the journey from ad click to genuine enquiry more meaningful?”
The Second-Month Shift
In the second month, we introduced a dedicated landing page as an additional step in the acquisition journey.
The idea was simple.
Rather than asking every prospect to submit their details immediately, we wanted to give them enough context to understand what Nextserv offered and why they should consider booking a site inspection.
The new journey became:
META AD
Capture attention
↓
LANDING PAGE
Educate & build confidence
↓
ENQUIRY
Capture genuine interest
↓
SALES FOLLOW-UP
Convert opportunity into business
This created a more structured path between the advertisement and the sales conversation.
Why the Landing Page Mattered
For a home painting service, the customer is making a relatively significant purchase decision.
They may want to know:
What services are available?
Is the company professional?
Can they handle their type of property?
What kind of finish can they expect?
Where do they operate?
How does the process work?
What happens after submitting an enquiry?

A landing page gave us the space to answer those questions before the sales conversation.
It also helped us introduce an additional layer of intent.
Someone who clicked an advertisement, explored the page and then chose to enquire had taken more steps than someone who simply submitted a form after seeing an ad.
From Broad Reach to Focused Markets
The second major change was geographical targeting.
Nextserv wasn't serving an abstract online market.
It was a local service business.
So reaching the right people in the right serviceable locations was critical.
We focused our campaigns around key Delhi NCR markets:
DELHI
GURUGRAM
NOIDA
FARIDABAD
Instead of looking at Delhi NCR as one large audience, we began thinking in terms of specific markets and service areas.
This gave us a much clearer framework for analysing performance and deciding where the campaign deserved more attention.
The New Approach
The campaign was now being built around three connected ideas:
1. Better Creative
Use static and AI-generated video ads to capture attention.
2. Better Funnel
Use the landing page to provide information and encourage more considered enquiries.
3. Better Targeting
Focus advertising on the geographical areas Nextserv could actually serve.
Together, these created a much more structured acquisition system.
The Real Shift
This wasn't about completely abandoning what had worked in the first month.
It was about building on it.
The first phase helped us discover:
What gets attention.
The second phase focused on:
What can turn that attention into better opportunities.
And this is where the campaign moved from simply being a lead-generation campaign to becoming a more complete performance-marketing funnel.

Sales
The ultimate metric wasn't going to be how impressive the Ads Manager lead count looked.
It was going to be:
What did those leads actually contribute to the business?
And that's where the numbers started getting interesting.
THE RESULTS

127 Leads. ₹20.66 Lakh in Gross Sales.
After nearly two months of testing, troubleshooting, creative experimentation and funnel optimization, we finally had enough data to evaluate the campaign beyond surface-level metrics.
The objective was never simply to generate a large number of leads.
The real objective was to generate business.
And between May and June, the campaign generated:
127 Leads
₹20.66 Lakh in Gross Sales
with approximately ₹25–30K spent on advertising across the two-month period.
What Happened After the Leads Came In?
One of the most important parts of this case study is that we didn't stop at the Meta Ads dashboard.
We tracked what happened after the lead was generated.
Out of the 127 enquiries:
Lead Status | Leads |
🟢 Converted | 10 |
📅 Inspection Scheduled | 2 |
📋 Quotation Shared | 18 |
🔴 Refunded / Cancelled | 16 |
⚪ Lost Leads | 81 |
Total | 127 |
This gave us a much clearer picture of the actual customer journey.
A lead wasn't considered a success simply because someone filled out a form.
It had to move further down the funnel.
From Lead → Opportunity → Revenue
The campaign effectively created a pipeline:
127 Enquiries
↓
Site Inspections & Follow-ups
↓
Quotations
↓
Conversions
↓
₹20.66 Lakh Gross Sales
That distinction is important.
A performance campaign should ultimately be evaluated by the quality of opportunities it creates and the revenue those opportunities can generate, not just by the number of form submissions.

The Biggest Learning
The campaign proved something we had experienced throughout the process:
Good performance isn't created by one "perfect" ad.
It comes from continuously improving the entire system.
Creative → Targeting → Lead Capture → Qualification → Follow-up → Conversion
When one part wasn't working, we didn't simply increase the budget.
We diagnosed the problem.
When ads were repeatedly rejected, we worked on the messaging and creative approach.
When lead quality needed improvement, we introduced a landing page.
When geographical efficiency became important, we focused the campaigns on Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad.
And when we had enough data, we used that information to make the next decision.
The Result Was More Than a Lead Count
For Nextserv, the campaign moved from:
“Let's run some ads.”
to
“Let's build a measurable customer acquisition system.”
And that shift is what ultimately helped turn an advertising investment of roughly ₹25–30K into ₹20.66 lakh in reported gross sales.
127 Leads. ₹20.66 Lakh in Gross Sales.
THE FINAL TAKEAWAY

The Real Result Wasn't ₹20.66 Lakh.
It Was Building a System That Could Produce It.
When we started working with Nextserv, the campaign wasn't perfect.
Ads were being rejected repeatedly.Creative approaches had to be tested.Lead quality had to be evaluated.Targeting had to be refined. And the customer journey needed improvement.
But that is what performance marketing actually looks like.
There is rarely a straight line from
“Launch” → “Results.”
The process is:
Test → Analyse → Fix → Optimise → Scale.
And that is exactly what we did.
What We Built
Over roughly two months, we moved beyond simply running Meta campaigns and built a more structured acquisition system for Nextserv.
🎨 Creative Strategy
AI-generated videos and static creatives were developed and tested to identify messaging that could capture attention and generate enquiries.
🎯 Targeted Advertising
Campaigns were refined around key Delhi NCR markets — Delhi, Gurugram, Noida and Faridabad.
🌐 Landing Page Funnel
A dedicated landing page was introduced to provide more information and create a more filtered path to enquiry.
📊 Lead-to-Sales Tracking
Instead of measuring success only through Meta's lead count, we tracked what happened after the enquiry — inspections, quotations, cancellations, lost leads and conversions.
🔄 Continuous Optimisation
When something didn't work, we didn't simply stop the campaign.
We found out why.
The Numbers Tell the Story
127
Leads Generated
10
Confirmed Conversions
₹20.66 Lakh
Gross Sales
₹25–30K
Approx. Ad Spend
But behind these numbers were dozens of creative tests, campaign adjustments, rejected ads, revised messaging, targeting decisions and funnel improvements.
The numbers are the outcome. The optimisation process created them.
The Biggest Lesson
Performance marketing isn't about finding one winning ad.
It's about building a system that learns.
A creative that works today may not work tomorrow.
A broad audience may generate volume but not quality.
A low-cost lead may not necessarily be a valuable lead.
And an ad campaign that looks successful inside Ads Manager may tell a very different story once you follow the lead all the way to revenue.
That's why our focus throughout this project was never just:
“How many leads did we generate?”
It became:
“How many genuine business opportunities did we create?”
From Ads to Actual Business
The Nextserv campaign is a good example of what happens when creative, performance marketing, targeting, landing pages and sales data are treated as one connected system.
We started with challenges.
We experimented.
We solved problems.
We refined the funnel.
And ultimately, we helped turn a relatively small advertising investment into ₹20.66 lakh in reported gross sales over the period covered by this case study.
And That's the Real Takeaway.
Don't just run ads.
Build a system.
Because the best campaigns aren't the ones that simply generate attention.
They're the ones that turn attention into conversations, conversations into customers, and customers into measurable business growth.
